The role of the sun in our lives is of great importance, and educating children about it and creating awareness about recent developments are crucial. This project proposal aims to raise awareness on the topic of “I Love My Sun” and provide educational support for students aged 7-11. The main goal of the project is to raise awareness among students about the space environment, the Sun, the relationship between the Sun and Earth, and the global picture of these topics. Understanding the space environment will enable the students to better comprehend the interaction between space and Earth, space technologies, and space environment-related topics. The project will encompass an interdisciplinary, creative education model that incorporates art and music applications related to the Sun and the space environment for students. Additionally, the project will include observing the Sun using two telescopes at our observatory and focusing on the relationship between sunspot activity and solar activity. As a result of the project research, contributions will be made to the dissemination of practices previously implemented in Turkey, Belgium, Ukraine, and Serbia. The project will also include comparisons between findings.
